Rooms were clean and cleaning staff very helpful. Rooms and facility needs maintenance. We were without most TV channels for all of our stay(20 days). Maintenance said it was the cable peoples problem and had no solution and no plans to fix the issues. TVs are outdated and the appliances/ utensils were old or ineffective. We stayed in Williamsburg at the Marriott there and it was much better overall. Breakfast was always sandwiches and ready to make waffles, cereal, bagel etc. it was ok. Windows don’t open and the highway never sleeps. If your lucky enough to sleep next to the vents you won’t hear the cars as much. Lighting in the back is terrible( no one did any maintenance on the exterior during our stay as far as cutting the overgrown trees)

First time staying in a Residence Inn. I enjoyed the apartment feel and the pillows were soft. I could tell the room was a little dirty or at least could have been much cleaner. Some trash was left under the couch from previous guests. I only found this out because I was doing some push-ups and was greeted by a couple of plastic bottles in site under the couch. The shower/tub floor needs to be replaced or reapplied because it is peeling and I could feel it in my feet. Great TV movie selection.

Terrible customer service when assistance was needed to locate a valuable item that was left in the room. My stay was actually good but my encounter with the front desk agent Noella was disgusting. I called to inquire about diamond earrings I left in the room, she told me the room wasn’t clean and she was busy and hung up the phone . I called backed to ask why she abruptly hung up, she stated she’ll contact housekeeping yet the room hadn’t been clean and I know his that goes and hung up again. I went to confront her about her professionalism she brushed me off she was not empathetic. The room was just cleaned and no one saw the earrings which were huge earrings magically were not found. They were isolated conversations without us the entire ordeal was just a hot mess. To date no one has contacted me regarding the incident. I did file a police report.

Well, what can I said about our 4 days stay at this hotel? In summary, it was the worst Marriot experience we ever had. There are two major issue with this hotel 1. Facility The hotel is next to highway 95 and at least in the room we stayed (highway facing room) the noisy is a problem, to the point that it will wake us up multiple times during the night, the room have a white noisy machine for a reason. The bed mattress has show its age and you will naturally roll into the middle, it would be ok for single sleeper, uncomfortable for double sleepers. Bath sink is stuck and it take forever for water to flow out. Bath tub drain stopper is broken and will not stay in position. Hotel did not provide hair dryer or shampoo nor soap . No plate provided in the kitchen and all the silverware are in the dishwasher, I guess hotel are expected the guest to put it back to the cabinet. Oh and the room smells, maybe just the room we stay in, because we don’t smell it anywhere else in the hotel, but the moment we open our doors, the strong odor went straight up to the nose, the bed blankets have strong human sweat smells that we end up using multiple sheet to cover it. 2. Management. This hotel is either under staffing or plain don’t care about its guest. We have never see the house keeping for the 4 days that we stayed, when ask to restock the bath towel or extra blankets, we been told there is no extra or call back in 5 hours to see if we have any. With so many problems in our rooms, we try to talk to the front desk person who refer to the MOD, and this MOD must be on a very important call because he refused to come out the office to talk to us, we waited 30 mins before give up. We been promised multiple times by front desk for call back/ response for requests but we never heard back from any of it. Change the room is not a option since hotel is FULL( half empty parking lot says other wise) This is a poorly run hotel with major location issue and as a gold elite customer of Marriot, we have never have a experience this bad, the hotel made no effort to accommodate the guest and customer service are non existence. In the end, we stay for 4 days and intend never come back to this location again.
