Bud & Marilyn's is the homiest restaurant ever. It's like stepping back in time to grandmom's kitchen. It's a restaurant, obviously, but it's like when you'd come home from college on a break and mom would make all your old favorites that you'd been craving. On this visit, I came with a friend. We had tickets to JVN's tour and wanted something close by to the theaters. Sadly, the tour cancelled but we kept our reservation anyway and still went to dinner. She ordered a cocktail and I ordered the Wile E Coyote mocktail (pregnancy-safe). It was a little tart but better than just getting a plain soda -- felt festive. I've had old fashioneds in the past here and they're amazing -- this place knows how to make a cocktail. We split the cheese curds and I was really impressed by the salsa! It made it feel like a really jazzed up, flavorful, spicy mozzarella stick situation. I ordered the meatloaf and it was SO flavorful. I loved that it was stuffed with greens in addition to the carrots and potatoes as sides. I finished the whole thing. I usually avoid mushrooms so I didn't even try the gravy but it was wholly unnecessary in my opinion. The meatloaf was so moist as it was and that ketchupy/BBQy sauce on the outside was JUST like mom used to make. Friend ordered the steak and it was cooked medium, perfectly. We then split the chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert because who can resist one of the giant slices of cake! It was so yummy. We loved the little crunchies to add some texture. Overall, a delicious meal and solid service. Love this place and highly recommend it!

One of my fav brunch spots now! Chicken and waffles were to die for! Drinks took a bit, but were great. Loved the odd 70s vibe and the bathrooms were rad.

Yes. We paid with a credit card. I believe bank check cards are accepted also.
They have cocktails but we only got wine
They have outside heated cubicles that are pretty comfortable. Now that indoor dining has resumed, they have very limited seating inside. I've been very cautious about covid, but still felt comfortable sitting inside, as there were not many people and we were very spaced out.
I did not see a specific kid's menu when I was there, but everything they make could be called "comfort food" or American Classics, so it is pretty accessible to most kids.
