This is the nicest campsite I have ever had the pleasure of staying. The architecture is beautiful, landscape serene, and the range leading was so friendly and helpful. I recommend this place for anyone. Dog friendly, wag bags provided, nice warm shower, swimming area, check out the scenic overlook or the picnic areas! So much to enjoy for such a small cost. Very safe!

We camp here every year. We stay in the non- electricity area, Ringtail Cat Loop. It's usually quiet when we are here, and there's some nice hiking trails.

Is this a nice looking campground? Yes! Is it clean and neat? Yes! Were the camp host friendly and helpful? NO very rude and insulting! Were the rangers friendly and helpful! NO NO NO! Very disappointed in this Corps of Engineers park. We have stayed at so many others and have always had a positive experience. Will we be back to this park! No, never, not if our lives depended on it!

Beautiful, quiet setting-concrete pads, sheltered picnic tables, solar-powered pole light that provides soft light to site at night. Pull-through sites are very unlevel and a bit dangerous. Be sure to set vehicle parking brakes to avoid vehicle rolling off into another site/parked vehicle (it caused a good bit of damage to our almost new unit). Bathroom and shower facilities are modern and well maintained. Except for cigarette buts on ground, sites are fairly well maintained as well. Water and electric at sites in Buffalo Grove Loop with dump station on way out of campground. A bit noisier on weekends with lots of kids in nearby loop but otherwise pretty peaceful. Unlevel pull-through sites and cigarette buts on ground were the real negatives for me, aside from the damage to our motorhome which puts it in shop for the next few months at least.
