Very nice thrift store. Clean and super organized. I have never been to a thrift store that was this well run. Their fitting rooms are big and I'm happy they were open. They organize their closes by sizes for the majority of the store and a couple areas have them organized by color. They have a great book selection. They have so many the majority are only $1. The highest priced book I saw was $4 and it was a very big book and $4 was a steal.

I love this place. I'm in there often. I always browse the store. You can find really nice outfits suited for business or church. You can find clothes for sports and for the outdoor lover. You can find electronics, sports equipment, home decor, books, and sometimes medical stuff. I know everything goes through an inspection before it's placed on the shelves. You can always rely on great customer service while there.

Hi Melissa, they won't allow you to work for any type of goods at Deseret Industries. Believe it or not they have a very long list of people waiting to work there. However, what you really should do I believe is contact a Mormon church find out who the bishop is in that area, they have furniture not only at Deseret Industries but another places and should be able to provide you with everything you need. Keep in mind you don't have to be a member of the Mormon church to get help the bishop may ask you to come to church but they certainly won't force you. I feel very confident they have you present yourself to the bishop they will help you. They're women's Relief Society really is terrific and, the young Mormon missionaries in this area well actually the help you move in if you need the help. Glad to hear you and your children will soon have a roof over your head I'm a single dad raising a special-needs boy all by myself so I know the challenges believe me. Good luck, and God bless
Yes, they always take clothing donations. Some of them stay at the store, others may go to national disasters or other countries depending on needs.
Try Salvation Army and paz on Broadway and you could try calling different churches
I was just there yesterday and I don't think I saw any. But that doesn't mean they don't. I would call first before I went just in case. Hate for you to make a wasted trip. If they don't you might try posting your stuff in Craigslist. There is a category for Free Stuff. Best wishes

We do not accept large appliances. Thank you for thinking about us though:)
No, the store is closed today for memorial day. The store opens from 9 am to 7pm tomorrow.
Not specifically. Most of our work work is with individuals who need training to obtain and keep employment. We have several veterans in the program now. We also have provided vouchers to local agencies some of whom work directly with veterans. We also provide vouchers for agencies that provide service for homeless individuals, immigrant families, foster families, minority organizations etc. We are a non profit facility, and receive no government support.
No you do not. Our donation schedule is Mon 9am to 6pm and Tues-Saturday 9am-7pm. Thanks for your donation in advance:)
You must wear a mask. They have plastic barriers at the checkouts.
donations are 10-5 Tues-Saturday. If you don't have an appt. we will still help you but if there is an appt at the same time of you arrival. we will assist them first. Thank You
The Pod at Red Mountain Stake Center, East of Power Rd is always present in the East Parking lot.
Grand opening will be tues oct 23 With stuff going on everyday through Saturday!!!!
Yes it's absolutely closed on 4th of July and most major holidays. And of course closed every Sunday. Have to remember this store is owned and operated by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Or as they are known the Mormon church. But they do have some great Buys in there and the stuff they do have is quite a bit better than most second hands type stores.
This is a Thrift store. Thrift stores do not generally have a specific type of inventory available. You should call and ask. Although I must say this shop does generally maintain a stock of clothing items as well as general home interior items. Best wishes in your bunky board(s) quest
