One of the largest oriental markets in the bay area that I've been too. Huge selection different foods. Place is clean and well stocked.

It was my first time here, they had a pretty nice selection of products & we don't have an Asian market near where we live so we got a lot of items & spent about $200. You'd think they'd appreciate getting business but honestly the older lady checking us out was super rude, was annoyed we spent money there or something & was basically throwing the bags down. I felt uncomfortable, I almost wanted to say forget it & leave. Idk why she was treating us like that, I almost feel like she was possibly being racist towards us. It was also 7:50 when we left so I understand it was almost closed but that doesn't justify attitude. You close in 10 minutes, so you're still open right? Why are you mad we're checking out & leaving? Especially if you're supposed to be there still anyways. If you are older & don't want to work then quit your job idk, you don't have to try to pass down your misery to others. I'm never coming here again, no thanks. Everything else was great & I wish I didn't have to rate so low but that customer service was crazy & unacceptable, enough to ruin the whole experience. All my life, I've never seen this nasty behavior at any other markets I've been to.

Don't go here unless there is literally no other option. Customer service is non-existent. They won't even respond to a question. The guy looked at me and just walked away. I recommend Oceanic Supermarket if you can because they're super nice and even try to help and order products they don't carry. Plus, they're local, family owned & operated. TLDR: MD Oriental worst of the worst, go anywhere else. UPDATE 6/7: Since I'm unable to reply to comments from the business, I will reply here. Language barrier did not appear to be the issue in this case because while 2 gentlemen pretended to not notice me standing 3 feet from them, one person did stop and turn around to acknowledge me when I said excuse me. He proceeded to listen and look me in the eye as I asked for some ice to keep my freezer and seafood items cold, only to then roll his eyes, shake his head and walk away from me.

It has a few more options but I'm still partial to the one in Brandon. This one doesn't have hot food in the back but it does have massive fresh seafood options.

There’re some in the store today. You can ask a staff if you can’t find it.
Yes they do
This is a full grocery store for all your oriental grocery needs. I found everything on my list.
Yes
No
Frozen yea
Yes, they do! I've seen it in there before. I have noticed that they seem to run out kinda fast but there's always more within another day or so.
Yes, saw lobsters but wasn't looking for crab so not sure
Yes
Freshly made, I don't believe so. However, they do have them frozen as well as the raw rice to make them.
Never seen any. Lol
They sell different kinds of seafood, I didn't pay much attention on salmon. Think they have farmed salmon.
I do not know about Kombu, but sure they have dried Shitake mushroom. Not quite sure they have Miso or not. I thought I saw one there.
They sell rock sugar.
Crabs are seasonal. They might have them. Hit or miss. Good idea to call them. MD
Not that I have seen
They do!
They sell all you mentioned, but availability, quality and quantity may depend on the season but they are usually available. The durian may be fresh or frozen depending on the season or preference, I have seen both fresh and frozen there.
yes to both questions
I believe I have seen the steamed type which is very white and fluffy. I have also seen the baked style there which has a browned and glazed appearance from being brushed over with egg before baking.
They sell the pearls (look in the noodle area I think) but not the syrups.
It's a very nice place for any oriental food is well distributed with all kind of goodies. I buy coconut water often by the case.
Yes, both. If I recall correctly, shitake, white, and ear mushroom.
Yes
