Oil chips all over the shoreline, when you step on them they melt to your feet, if you accidenty place anything on them it will stain and ruin it. Had to throw away all of our sand shoes. Expect more from our State Parks, hopefully not an active Oil spill from the 5 offshore oil rigs in the visual distance. Would not come back, instead, go to SPI.

The staff was very friendly. We called to try to book an overnight camp site and while the man was helping us someone put the spot in their online cart. He said that it happened sometime but it may come available. Ten minutes later he called me back and booked us for two nights. Loved it.

We love that you can just drive up onto a beach & tailgate 20 yards from the water in a State park. An experience we will not forget soon. The dog loved it too!

Beautiful, natural beach, very clean. Still have limited amenities, looks like campground and bath house should be open soon.

Yes there is showers as well as parking.
Yes but they are not strict with it
Not in the State Park. You can overnight elsewhere on the beach up to three nights with a permit.
No. The only FULL Hookups are for the Camp Hosts.
Any week but Spring Break
Yes
There are free public areas, but those areas tend to get messy as people don't know how to clean after themselves and keep stuff nice. The paid area is maintained and you have access to the parking area, restrooms, showers and drive on beach area. That area is definitely better.
Yes there are RV sites; they were damaged during hurricane Harvey and are under construction. The park is not currently open to over night camping, only day use.
Yes. Open showers beside Rangers office up front.
