Great concept. But I have interfaced with them 10+ times and they have never had useful info. They always say call someone else. I would like to see them be more helpful with problem solving.

Very disappointed at the fiasco for the Omicron vaccine booster on September 8th. It was supposed to start at 2pm and we arrived at 1:30 and it was in full swing with limited parking left and long lines on Detroit Ave. What was the point of making reservations online? If they were only giving gift cards to the first 200 to be vaccinated, why weren’t the first 200 to reserve spots given a specific time and be designated one of the 200.
Not planned well at all.
Good luck getting anybody to help. I've been on the list since early June 2020 and I've yet to have any help for housekeeping. I've had to pay people to come in and help me, which I cannot afford this as I am on a very strict income. This makes me so sad. I am in the lower part of Wood County.
I have tried to contact office of aging for help with my mother. No one has contacted me to help me yet. What should I do?

My friends are in need of a wheelchair van so the husband can transport his bed ridden wife to doctor appointments, etc. They are senior citizens on a fixed income so they don't have much money. Can anyone suggest ways for them to get a van?

At times, elderly must have an adult accompany them to outpatient type surgeries (mine would be cataract surgery). Since everyone I know works, I'm contacting you for assistance in locating a driver. Thank you!

Your best bet is to call the Area office of Aging...
They can help and support you always.
They have mobile drivers to assist you...
Call them again and again

You can stop by the Area Office on Aging and pick up the Resource Guide and it is filled with all kinds of great information that would be helpful to you including the housing information you are interested in. :-)
Is there any companies that would fix floors for the elderly or disabled. Small kitchen and bath room. For a reasonable price.
