No enforcement of quiet hours for a "family" campground. Had to listen to Gasolina from the campsite 5 spots over until 12am

This was our second year here. We noticed something was off as soon as we arrived and the store was bare bones. I had a feeling there was something going on with ownership. Throughout our stay the pool wasn't opened when it should have been, and on "Christmas in July weekend" the holiday hayride was way more low key than last year (no music, no lights on the trailer)... The new GM was great to us by opening laser tag when they were too short staffed to have it open all day. That was great, however, if a camp is advertised to have services that the returning campers look forward to, there needs to be more of an effort to have those services available. Paddle boats are always closed, etc. Come to find out, there was a change in ownership June 1, 2022. I have previously highly recommended this campground, but based on our last visit, we will not be returning here in the future.

Probably the most disappointed and disgusted I've been in a while. We have been visiting Prospect Mountain Campground for the past 5 years, building relationships and creating core memories with our children. This year was a different story. It was the first year the family campground we have learned to love, sold to a Corporation (Blue Water Hospitality). They were constantly short staffed and many of the activities listed on their website changed last minute. The second day of our stay on July 16th (Pirate Weekend), my daughter came running out of Cabin #6 in fear. She explained there were 100's of tiny bugs on her the acreen of her Amazon Fire Tablet. When I entered her room, I found an infestation of either fleas or bed bugs on everything in the room. Books, jewelry, pillows, fans, stuffed animals...you name it. Sure enough, after a closer inspection...the bugs were all over the cabin. When I called the office to notify them of the situation, they sent a maintenance staff member to my cabin to inspect. The only thing he did was took a photo of the bugs and reported back to the office. Next the assistant manager showed up, and apologized for the inconvenience. She provided black garbage bags to gather all of our belongings and explained there was nothing available to accommodate a stay. So as my wife and I bagged everything into black garbage bags, my three children sat at picnic table confused and devastated as to why we had to leave two nights early. I made 4 trips to the front office to grab garbage bags for our belongings that afternoon. In the meantime, my kids remained at the picnic table outside the cabin, listening to the hayride pass by...that they weren't able to ride on. As I checked out, I was greeted at the counter by the new General Manager Chris. She was helping with nightly Bingo. When I introduced myself, she apologized for the inconvenience after "hearing about our issue." That was what bothered me the most I think. The fact that the new GM new about what occurred, and not once visited the site to check on my family. Not once did she offer staff to assist with packing up my car or taking down garbage. You would think, if a campground was never properly sanitized or inspected, and was the root cause of a disaterous situation leading to the early end of a family vacation...they would at least offer a full refund and an to take care of my dry cleaning bill...something other then just an apology. Not this campground. GM Chris explained, a refund would be issued for the nights we weren't able to stay during the remainder of the weekend, but not to expect it immeditaley because they were in transition from a family run campground to a Corporation. In the meantime, my car was loaded up with 20 black garage bags and 3 tramaurized children thinking they had bugs still crawling on them. This will be the last time we visit Prospect Mountain. Horrible customer service.

Was supposed to spend 3 nights there however found that my friends cabin had bed bugs, that got into their families belongings. The kids were traumatized & the new management did little to help & rectify the situation. I'll NEVER go back there & don't recommend that you go either
