The Derby Depot is open to anyone who wants to learn how to skate and/or play derby. Follow on Facebook for practice times and game times! Year round. The different leagues that play here are all so fun, there are co-ed teams as well, it's not only women or people identifying as women. It's such a great community, come skate with us!

First time ever coming to one of these pretty cool little event definitely will be back masks are required the whole time don't understand the reason why when the mask mandate no longer is required but followed the rules. Super hot in there but during halftime stepped outside. Pretty cool though watching girls on roller skates push each other. ( It now makes sense yes the team we seen was from California and they ask us to wear masks.)

Sad. Not fun. Not for kids. I took my wife, kids, my mother, brother and his family and his wife's family. 14 people. There were more people playing than there were people in the stands. The teams took themselves way too seriously. No fun. Not safe for kids. During half time I went outside and homeless are eating trash from the dumpsters in the dark. Derby is better outside of SLC. In my 10 years supporting derby, SLC derby at the Derby Depot is the worst experience I've ever had. And I've been to real shitholes supporting derby. I will never go to SLC Derby Depot again and it makes me rethink supporting the sport.

The players are always in quad skates. Officials are allowed to use roller blades but quad skates are still recommended
All ages are welcome! Adult league starts at 18 years of age. There is also a Juniors league for all kids from elementary through high-school ages. All are totally awesome groups focused on safety, inclusion, and fun while learning a killer, fast-growing sport!
They have a crash course where they teach skating and skills and when you pass the skills then you can join a derby team. Send them a message on Facebook (just click on their website and it will go to Facebook). They are really good at responding and a really kind accepting community. There is also a Bout (game) tonightat 7 pm.
Skates, Helmet, and knee, elbow, and wrist pads are required for roller derby skating. Wasatch Roller Derby offers some gear rental for those who don't have their own yet. Feel free to follow Wasatch Roller Derby on Facebook and Instagram for information on classes and events.
