We stayed in this place for a weekend where there were so many hegens that we could not leave the RV which did not allow us to enjoy much, we thought it was because of the weather that it was a bit bad but we talked with other campers who have been several times and they told us that it is always like this that the owners do not fumigate. When we returned home I had to take my daughter to her pedriata because hegen's bites hurt her a lot. In conclusion, in my opinion, they should try to solve the problem of hegenes and mosquitoes because there are guests who are allergic and those bites do them a lot of damage and that is why they cannot be enjoyed with pleasure. From everything else I found it to be a cozy and good place to spend with the family, but unfortunately I will not return due to my experience with hegenes and mosquitoes.

You can bring dogs but not cats ? This is discrimination. I guess all make my cat a “service” cat

Staff was very rude when trying to book a site. Refused to allow a dog if you do not come with an RV. Asked to book a site without brining my dog and was told to go camp somewhere else. The woman on the phone was incapable on understanding that I just wanted to book a site! With no dog! Do not recommend this as a viable option for enjoyable camping! Obviously ruled by woke mob!

Yes there are a number of tent sites, some on the water. Bathroom facility was really nice also
I didn't actually go there. I was bridge fishing.
Yes you are able to sleep in the back of your vehicle, the only restrictions is you can not run a generator or your vehicle for power.
Yes a tent is no problem, for a rustic site it is $53 for an interior site and $56 for an ocean front. Feel free to look at the website for a map and rates. www.bpkfl.com
Yes - we have full hook up electric sites and rustic sites with no electric available.
Service Dogs are allowed, you simply are required to have a vest or a leash on the dog at all times so it can be identified as such.
Big Pine Key is a pristine, natural Florida ecosystem with a wide range of wildlife. Aligators and crocodiles - while rare - do occasionally make an appearance in the water near the property.
Bring your kayaks - you have found the adventure of a lifetime. Nothing like kayaking in Big Pine Key - nothing but the raw, Florida Keys magic that you are craving!
Yes you can, in the marina and by the bridge and fire pit.
Yes
All of us that have been coming here for 10, 20, or more years still call it? BPKFL
They frown upon guests with pets! Can't bring one if you have a tent. You need to have an RV so you can lock the dog inside.
I don't know but they were awesome when we stayed there 3 weeks ago! It does say on their website they have rentals!!
I would try 2-4 weeks in advance, they are under new Management and owners so I'm not sure of there availability.
camping site is approx. $90 per night. Boat slips extra.
Yes - we have tents sites. You can choose full hook up sites with water electric and cable or rustic sites with no water, cable or electric.
If you are staying there it is included. If your not you may want to call them and find out... don't be shy they are Great People..... Just to note they have a store, gas, and ice and some lobstering gear sunscreen shirts and some fishing equipment for when you are on the water and don't want to go back to where you launched... IF YOU ARE PASSING THRU OR STAYING THERE.... I hope my friend invites me again it was a trip I'll not soon forget... the camp is clean and the planned activities are interisting and fun.... the deer... again are overly friendly and don't mind eating your food if left unattended like a yogi with horns lol watch for bucky his tounge is out to the side. he seems to have been hit by a careless driver. He is the celebrity deer... 😉 Have fun but keep your propeller side down... T.M.C.
Plenty of space
No.
You would have to call to find out
Hi Jane, the property is open and ready to host your next vacation. We have tent and RV lots with electric and full hook-up as well as a few lodge rooms. Pool is open and most of our most-loved activities are back. Hope to see you soon!
Yes there are. The facilities are clean modern and nice.
There was plenty of parking when i was there for July 4th
I have some old railroad spikes and a 3 lb sledgehammer. Tent up, chairs out, beer in hand. Life's good at BPKFL...
You will need to call them. It's Taurus season plus spring break. Very busy time for them
Yeah it's $1096 for 30 days in a rustic camp spot
They do, sites by the water or sites closer to the amenities, both are very this time of year
