My wife's nostalgia trip made for a disappointing meal for me this time. She went on and on about family meals and seeing her uncle's advert on the placemats, but it just didn't hold water for me. Maybe it's the Covid protocols, but when a place advertises as a steakhouse, it should have more than one option, and at $23 for an 8 oz sirloin, fries and cole slaw, there could be a little flair, even if it's just salt and pepper on the steak. A bit more table service would have been nice, considering it was a Wednesday evening and not busy; we had to order and pay like we were at a quick-food joint (again, I'm guessing Covid protocol, we're not out of those woods by a long shot), and were only checked on at delivery and toward the end of our stay. I will dine there again, but cannot recommend the steak option at this time.

This resort is nothing fancy but that is part of what makes it so great. The cabins are simple but nice. Activities include fishing, swimming or going to the small park. My kids are forced to just hang out together with their family, go fishing and sit by the fire and they actually LOVE it. We have been coming here with my parents for 16 years and we all look forward to it all year. The kids never want to leave when it's time to go and can't wait for next year when we leave. The food at the restaurant is awesome! The workers are all so friendly at the entire resort.
