At first I was very concerned about the room I was put in and the fact that I couldn't even get into the bathroom as it was locked. My light was on for 45 minutes before anyone came to my aid. The food was a huge disappointment as well and the room smelled musty. At first, I was not even given a walker to get around. I had expected a beautiful facility based on my previous surgery 5 years back, and so this was a huge disappointment. I called my daughter to come get me the very next day. To my surprise, the social services supervisor, Lori called my daughter and came in on her day off to see what she could do to salvage my stay. Such an earnest desire has never been shown in making things right. I stayed because I was so impressed by her and her desire to make necessary changes, even overseeing the meals. Things immediately improved due to her tenacity. I am still friends with several CNAs who took care of me and met my needs. As long as Lori is over the social services there, things can only improve. This woman cares so much and we became great friends through it all!

It's been a great experience so far working here! The management team has been a great help in stepping in to help with recreational activities, and I know the residents here really love seeing staff take a step back and be involved with them through activities. Though we aren't a perfect facility (no facility is) we strive each day to overcome our faults and encourage each other to become better. Orem Rehab & Skilled is the place to be!

Great place to work, and a great place for cares. Therapy and nursing teams are renowned for being best in the state! I would be comfortable sending any relative here.

I have been with Orem Rehab for close to two years and I’ve loved it here. The management has been very flexible with my school schedule and every manager I’ve worked under has been amazing. Everyone comes together to help the residents no matter what department you are under and I feel like there is a great culture here!

That ratio is literally illegal considering they are at max capacity. And I know that regardless of their "certification" they are not adhering to health department code regarding cross-contamination or any allergen concerns and frequently give residents food they specifically cannot eat or have anywhere near them due to allergies. They'll slap a huge pile of potatoes on a paper that says "no potatoes" then put a big piece of cake on a paper that says "gluten allergy" after giving someone a bread stick and thinking just taking the bread stick off the plate fixes the problem when the whole tray has been contaminated.
