Great for fishing, nice pier to walk or sit. Does offer public restroom however the smell is atrocious, it's a super strong sulfur smell. This is a place to rough it if camping. Bring your own water..... otherwise enjoy yourself ! Please keep it clean pick up after yourself and your dogs so we can continue to have this beautiful spot!

This is a wonderful place to bring your children. Not the best for swimming but great fishing. All those rocks and sharp oyster shells will cut you up while you swim. It is an awesome place but only giving 4 stars because the bathrooms and showers are disgusting. The last picture is what all the kids legs and arms looked like after swimming for an hour.

Your experience here will b directly related to how crowded it gets and with what kind of people. Fortunately, for as crowded as it got Friday, Saturday and Sunday, everyone was pretty chill. WE, TH and MO were great. I like the north end best.

There's no campers but there is shelters that l ve seen people pitch a tent. I believe it's still first come first serve. I have been there several times and to see th w sunris e and sunset is absolutely gorgeous, sitting
Tues and wednesdays are the best days. It fills up early and the guy comes around 7am to collect the fees. Weekends are very busy, and we prefer to go through the week when most people are at work.
When heading there there are 2 turns for shierd island the first one takes you to the boat ramp the second one takes you to the main beach
Just show up set it up and the caretaker will stop by in the a.m.to collect cash 10.00 a night,I will be there Friday Saterday and sunday
