That Crazy Dog Lady
Our room steward Adi working on Elation to the Bahamas leaving 7/16 from Jacksonville deserves the BIGGEST shout out!!! He has the most wonderful personality and upbeat character on top of being such a hard worker! I witnessed other suite guests being unnecessarily cruel to him and he handled it with the utmost professionalism and grace I’ve ever seen displayed by any human being. He truly took our trip from being a great experience to a phenomenal one. I can never express enough gratitude for Adi and his contributions to our amazing trip! To Adi if he ever sees this: Let me know if anyone has been mean to you!

How much for parking at the port
Better price might be the Hamilton Regency East. 12 minutes away
Yes they offer transportation to and from the airport and terminals
When you call to prepay for parking ...you can ask for a handicap space..
We just got off a 4 day cruise and payed $64 for parking in secure area next to the dock.
Passport, or birth certificate with photo ID. Make sure the when you get off the ship in ports the you have you cruise ID and a photo ID. You need both to get back on the ship.
The parking lot is located close to the cruise ship. There are shuttles there along with golf carts that go between the parking lot and the cruise ship.
We stay at hotels with Park & Cruise packages our car stays in a safe location & the hotel shuttles you to & from the cruise port. Holiday Inn , Quality Inn, Travelodge, Comfort Suites & Hilton are all near the airport/ cruise ports
Yes
Yes the parking is right there at the port!
It was like $15 per day.
Depending on how much you want to drink. It is around $10-$15 per drink. If you are going to have a lot go with the Cheers package or plan on paying per drink then go with the higher cost and budget for whatever you think you will drink and you should be good. Add extra funds just in case you could forget how many times you had one and go over budget. Have fun and hope this helps.
As of January 2020 the only cruise you can take from Jacksonville to the Bahamas is Carnival 3 or 4 day cruises.
There are no rental car companies located at the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal, but there are several at the JAX airport. The cruise port & airport is very close to each other. JAXPORT cruise terminal has a taxi service that provides taxi and shuttle service between the cruise terminal and JAX. I do believe it's around $40 for a shuttle but I would advise calling ahead of time for current pricing. Taxi: (904) 355-8294 Shuttle: (904) 353-8880
Crowne Plaza has good rooms and rates, but I'm not sure if they have one for 10 people.
No, self parking only. You can drop off your party at the entrance and then drive over to the lot if that makes things easier.
It was free for me and I had a handicap plate.
If you were unable to complete the cruise, such as sickness or injury, you would need a passport to fly home.
We stayed at crowne plaza. Ask for the carnival cruise package
Normally $15 a day so for a 5-day Cruise $85 I recommend valet it's only $10 more and a nice tip
If you stay the night at a local hotel they will usually let you leave the car in their lot for the duration of the cruise and take their shuttle or uber to the terminal and back. I think our uber from downtown was 12$
Crown plaza had a carnival package for $120 incluses room for 1 night parking and shuttle service to and from....
JAX
Its about 12 miles and depending on the time of day traffic can get pretty rough. So plan accordingly.
I would recommend taking an Uber or Lyft. The parking is outrageously expensive and you can use the money for the cruise.
It can get pricey. I highly recommend you getting a taxi or Uber, Lyft, etc.
Please call Carnival's customer service, you can find the number at their website.
It's about $11-$12/ daily
Holiday inn
It's $15.00 a day.
Porting from here goes to the Bahamas, the keys they may eventually add more places
