This library is great. The manager I spoke to about getting a library card was very nice. The card was ready very quickly. The library is big with tons of books, resources, audiobooks, music, printing station. The staff is nice, friendly and helpful everytime we have gone there or had questions. The doors entrance is accessible. The doors open automatically. There is wheelchair accessible parking. The family bathroom is also wheelchair accessible. There's seating near the back where all the bookshelves are and other seating in the front by the printers and magazines.

People are very nice. However, it takes forever to get a book. I reserved a book. In a few days I went on to my account. It said the book was shipped. It has now been nine days and it has not arrived. I want to the library and was told the truck was in an accident. Do you only have one truck?

How long can I tale a book from the lubrary?

Linda Dale | Oct 24, 2021
Horsham Township Library | Oct 24, 2021

All Horsham items aside from new release DVDs/blu rays can go out for 3 weeks. Items from other libraries are mostly 3 weeks but some new items only 2. We can usually extend your initial borrowing period a little if need be (say, if you will be on vacation).

Do you still have the passes for museums?

Sharon Watkins | Oct 24, 2021
Horsham Township Library | Oct 24, 2021

The program was suspended during the past year due to Covid-19. The Friends of Horsham Library are researching which passes will be purchased for this year, and of course we will announce when they are available again.

Is the library open to non residents of Horsham

Art & Cindy Johnson | Oct 24, 2020
Horsham Township Library | Oct 24, 2020

Elaine is correct! Also, Access PA allows PA residents to link their home library cards to any state-aided public library (with proof of address & ID) to use the physical collection. AND you can access college/university libraries with your PA state ID and proof of address (this may vary from place to place; please check with the educational facility first). So come on down! :D

How to obtain a library card?

stephen staudt | Oct 25, 2019
Horsham Township Library | Oct 25, 2019

If you are a Horsham or Montgomery Township resident, you can bring in photo ID with your current address and get a library card (assuming you are over 18). No ID? Bring in a piece of first class mail (utility bill, insurance, etc.) in *your* name at your current address and we can hook you up. Live elsewhere? We can likely get you a temporary library card if you live almost anywhere in Montgomery County. Live in another county? You'll have to get a card in-county, but then you can take advantage of the AccessPA program to use that card at MCLINC libraries for physical materials (meaning, you'll have to get your digital stuff from your home library). Feel free to call us if you have any further questions: 215-443-2609, x0. Thanks!
