Doc was very forthright, to the point with defining my problems and prognosis. Worked with me on scheduling surgery, refreshing.

Satisfied with my new shoulder. May need to get the other side done. Will not hesitate to go here again even though over an hour drive. Dr. Trenhaile is top notch. All the staff rates highly IMHO.

Questions & Answers

Can you just make an appointment or do you need an referral?

Mika Swift13 | Oct 24, 2021
Melinda Rhodes | Oct 24, 2021

We did not have a referral.. We had an MRI on my husband's knee then our Dr. said you need an orthopedic surgeon after he viewed the MRI. I then looked at reviews and talked to a friend who had used orthoillinois for a knee surgery. Our dr. did not refer us. I then put in a request for appt. online for 2 of their drs. both got back in touch with us and we made an appt so no, you don't need a referral. Good luck

Can you call & get MRI results before your follow up appointment?

Dawn Kersy | Oct 24, 2021
OrthoIllinois | Oct 24, 2021

Your physician will explain your diagnostic testing results at your appointment, but results are not available to the patient until after the physician has reviewed them and met with the patient. You may request a copy of your MRI results at that point.
