Excellent park... RV spots are a little close together, and the trails could use some markings... But, the park was still a great place to visit.

Camping was nice. Our site parking was a little unlevel. The front gate rangers were very nice, check-in was super easy. The site is large, in our loop we face into a large open area that was fun to look in at night. The lake is beautiful. Each site has a picnic table and a fire ring.

Came here on a weekend camping trip and it was great! Beautiful scenery, EXTREMELY clean bathrooms with showers. The camping, picnic, swimming, and fishing areas were all very well maintained and very clean. The park has very nice trails to go hiking/walking and a very beautiful large swimming beach. It was probably the best park I've been to, but then again, I haven't gone to many. I definitely want to come back to visit again. It was a great experience. (Burn Ban was in effect so we could only use propane gas to cook - no charcoal or wood burning - and we didn't get to make s'mores, but the sites did have fire pits, which were real nice.)

The park is well maintained. We called at one of the sheltered sites but still use a tent as we had our dogs with us. The soirees all face the lake with a perfect line of air for the sunrise.

Yes. Must be leashed. I think the beach/swim are was posted no dogs but there was at least one (leashed) this past weekend
Looks like the right time to me! May be a little wind, but fresh.
Yes, they have the tackle loaner program. Free to borrow poles and tackle.
Not the best
I use my Mobile data to contact people outside the park.
You would need to call the park office.
Different prices based on the number of people in your party. Four person cabin is around 90 per night.
The link to information on the pass is here. https://tpwd.texas.gov/state-parks/park-information/passes/park-passes/#texas-state-parks-pass If that works. And you don't need a license to fish in Texas state parks.
There are 2 very nice fishing piers at this park and the crappie fish is great. I've seen people fishing for catfish from the bank and bass fishing from boat.
I Would imagine at the gate coming in but if not I'm sure they can tell ya. Have a great trip
Good amount of housing around the Lake, but beautiful skies too.
If you stay at a full hook up spot they do have water, it was included. I would just make sure that you have a couple of water hoses and filter
Yes, with a season pass to all of the Texas State Parks.
