My wife & I stopped in for the sunset @William Chris. The landscape is stunning & the staff is friendly & welcoming. Eva, Jonathan & Alicia greeted us warmly & made sure we were comfortable. The sunset was breathtaking! We will definitely be back!

Gorgeous location and great wines! We brought some friends of ours from Illinois who were shocked at the wineries available in the Texas Hill Country. They liked your wines so much they became members. It was my husband’s birthday and one of your staff members let him slice the top off a bottle with a knife. It was a great way to start the day!

Before you even park the hospitality starts from these folks. Call to make a reservation or just role up, their welcoming group will get you in and drinking a nice glass of rosé as you get seated... saw a few happy dogs in the shade in case you're wondering, so for that alone it's worth the drive!

5+ Star Experience and Service! We were warmly greeted at the door when we arrived on a slow Monday. They were genuinely excited to see us just as we were excited to be there. Jessica provided us with a phenomenal tasting experience as she shared her unpretentious wine knowledge with us even though we are newbies to the world of wine. She customized her service to ensure that we would have the ultimate experience. Her enthusiasm for every wine she shared was infectious. She exuded so much passion for the wine with endless stories, history, and knowledge. The property was absolutely stunning and well thought out. It was obvious that the planning and execution of their wine, property, and service was purely intentional. They serve as an example of what other wineries should aspire to be. Don’t miss this winery while on the wine trail in the Texas Hill Country! Well done William and Chris, well done.

My wife and I have had barrel tastings at William Chris before and I recommend giving them a call. We are part of the wine club so that may make a difference.
Yes. We took our 5 y/o and 1 y/o. We just sat outside on lawn area. Lots of kids there playing.
We offer live music on the weekends and snack plates to satisfy your appetite. We even provide cold water, fans, blankets, and outdoor heaters to keep you comfortable if you choose to take a seat outdoors no matter the season. Note: All large group tastings are scheduled outdoors under the covered pavilion. Whether you are a frequent guest or new to the Texas Hill Country, we invite you to grab a glass, kick your feet up and enjoy laid-back luxury and real Texas wine.
Not many. Carter Creek Resort is probably the closest. Johnson City has a Best Western.
