I went here in December of 2021. some of the staff was real kind and others were total jerks. I had heard so much bad stuff about here, but it's not too bad. on the unit I was in, on Saturdays if you behaved well you got a pop and a treat. every day if you behaved well you got to choose a reward. my first few nights were super rough. I almost got put in a restraint, they took my clothes and put me on a 1-1, and locked me in seclusion. they were very strict about following the rules. there was 1 staff member I remember vividly. I cannot remember her name, but she was so so so sweet to me, but was kinda rude so some of the boys. the school there is very very pressuring and overwhelming.

Most of the staff was rude and it honestly paid no attention to your mental health they had nothing to help you and if you were having an episode or freaking out they just locked you in a empty room. The food was horrible, they just gave you meds and paid no attention to your feelings. It honestly made my mental health worse if I’m being completely honest it’s not the best place to go if your severely depressed or have really bad anxiety. The only good things there were the patients (this is just my personal opinion) they were all super nice and extremely supportive. There was also a cute nurse (Fabian). πŸ˜‰

I had many diagnosis over the past 10yrs. The last 2yrs of my life has been overwhelming, lonely and sad for me with all the stigma on mental health. May I just check myself in and stay for a long time and be forgotten and have no visitors?

You do have the right to say that you dont want visitors or phone calls if you think it is best for your mental health, because they are all about helping you get better and helping you learn how to cope with things in a healthy way! Hope this helps!
