We decided to go on a last minute kayak trip when I unexpectedly got the day off and they were very accommodating! Price was fair, the owner was very friendly, this will be our go to place for floating down the Chippewa. I can't believe we almost overlooked them since it does not come up when you search for kayaking in Mount Pleasant! My one and only complaint is that the young man who helped us off the river didn't seem like he was ready to be awake yet and there was a lack of communication about what he wanted us to do to help him, so that was a little awkward, but definitely did not ruin our experience!

I have used Buckley's for many years, and am always pleased by their thoughtfulness, their willingness to accommodate me and their fun spirit! They are careful that you have a safe and enjoyable trip. I have asked for shuttles for my personal boat, or rentals outside of their normal postings, and they always have been able to do as I ask. I have a business, Canoe Reflections; I guide and instruct people who want to improve their canoe paddling skills. I use Buckley's for my shuttles. I refer all who want to paddle the Chippewa River to them.

I can't speak highly enough of the Buckley's mountainside canoe establishment! I've been multiple times and each time has been great! The rates are affordable and it's a fun paddle. On top of the rates/river being enjoyable, the actual people who run it are amazing people who have been incredibly kind every single time I've been there, including a time where a party member lost their car keys on the trip and we were stuck there for a bit waiting for a ride. Incredibly patient and understanding and honestly just compassionate and super cool. If you support this business, you know you're supporting good people, and that's awesome! Great job Buckley's!
