Bed was comfortable and the AC was nice and cold. BUT…ANTS in the bathroom. Didn’t clean room for our second night. Had to ask for towels and Kleenex. Ice machine was broken. Keys were disabled when we came back from our first day out. No TV guide to tell us what we were watching and the reason she gave us was the “people who installed all the tv’s didn’t put in the guide” no kidding, she really said that. I know this seems petty but it all adds up.

Positive: It was clean and the staff was very nice. It had all that we needed for our 1 night stay. Negative: There was a very strong smell of body odor in our room that dissipated after an hour or so... not sure if it was from air condition or a previous guest.

The Holiday Inn Express in Painted Post is a gem of a hotel. It's quaint on the outside and very comfortable on the inside! It has all the amenities anyone would expect. But, for me, it's all about the people! The staff seem to genuinely care about your stay. The talk to you like they know you, and are happy you are there! They say "welcome to Holiday Inn Express", and "good morning", "how was your evening". The staff take the time to answer questions. I can't ask for anything more! It's great knowing you have a friend and they're going to take care of you if you need help with something. The building is smoke free and it's so nice to enter a lobby that doesn't smell of smoke!

Positive: I loved the cleanliness. The bed was super comfortable. Every staff person I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I enjoyed swimming in the indoor pool. It was very close to the locations we needed to get to. Negative: The heating/cooling unit in the room was SO VERY LOUD that even when we put it on its lowest settings it still woke me up frequently during the night. (We set it as close to off as we could.)
