Thus applies to the national website. The site says you can apply for a replacement card online. You go through all the the process to get to a point where it says you must go to a local office. Fix the website to save everyone time and frustration. It's not rocket science.

The office was very quiet when I went at 10am, the guard was very friendly and I didn't have to wait very long after signing in at the kiosk. The man at the window was very kind and helpful, he was very quick and pleasure to be around. He made me feel very welcomed and at ease.

I am newly disabled and had to go to the Social Security office in St. George, Utah to sort out a disability problem. They paid me too much on my backpay, and I wanted to rectify it. When I finally got to the window, they lied and took paperwork that I had and would not return it. I would never trust anyone at this office again, such bureaucrats! They would not let me speak to the manager and they just kept telling me to fill out more paperwork which made no sense. Don't trust them!

This is in regards to a telephone call. I was on hold for over 50 minutes. The recording came on numerous time that they were sorry about my wait. However the phone just automatically disconnected after I had waited so long. I could of used my time in a much better way. Very frustrating

They only make appointments to file for benefits. Everything else is walk in and take a number.
Yes it automatically becomes regular Soc.Sec. The amount stays the same.
Does SS accept old passport as alternative for birth certificate
Call them or go in to their office.
When I did my name change I had to take in my birth certificate and passport along with my current driver's license.
Yes
No, as of 6/5/21 they still have you do it online or mail-in.
No. But the only thing you need an appointment for is to start a claim. Everything else they can take care of on a walk-in basis
I do not know. I have the same question. When I chat on line, I am sent to a sight that requires my credit card info. Sounds "phishy" to me.
Yes you can. You can also walk in
At this time they only take phone calls the office is close To the public and all the questions are by telephone first then they give appointments By telephone, and if is necessary then they gave you an appointment in person.
Yes
In person or e-mail
My understanding is yes, if you're married 10 years or more, you can file on his SSI and it will not affect his amount received at all.
They can print you a copy at any SSA office.
If your Medicare card still has your SSN on it, either call or visit the Social Security Administration to order a new card.
Yes they are open during those times but it gets busy in there, not always the same busy time
Go apply for a new SS card. Do you have an ID? If bot you will need a Drs note stating that you see them, on their letter head and signed by them. No photo copies, just went though this myself. It HAS to have your DOB on it, but get it replaced for sure.
9 to 4 M-F Except 9 to noon on Wednesday.
For most issues, they will not give you an appointment. Take a number and wait. You need to call them to see if they will give you an appointment.
For yourself, a valid ID, such as a drivers license
Not until the end of 2019
Yea. Make sure you the SSA a valid and current for of ID, like a non expired Drivers License
It depends when you started receiving your benefits. Up to 50 % of your husband's benefits

You need a valid form of ID. Drivers License, Passport. If those aren't available, certified medical record, certified school record, school ID. Certified school or medical records must have date of birth and a pen/ink signature or stamp from clinic or school
SSI is a needs based program, as such, If you are receiving SSI, or if you have a child receiving SSI you have to report both earned and unearned income.
No you do not need an appointment. Thank you for asking.
If you have sn online account set up, you csn update yoir information.
They do take appointments for some issues. However every time i call for an appointment, they advise no appointments for that matter. Call the local phone number and see if they give an appointment for your issue.
