The place is a real dive but the pizza was awesome.

I had the worst experience at Blackthorn. Not a place I would recommend checking out. I know the wait time can be lengthy so I called in an order for a pizza at 5pm to pick up at 5:45- they said no problem. We showed up at 5:55, no pizza. We sat down and ordered drinks. Checked back at 6:15, they said 15 min. Kept checking back, was told, just came out of the oven, then 8 more min, then 6 more min- the pizza finally came out an hour and a half later- which is 2 hours and 15 min from the time I called in the order. Which was thrown on the counter in front of me. Was later told someone ordered 16 pizzas and mine left with theirs. So I was basically lied to the entire visit by the cashier Kevin. I get mistakes happen, but not once did anyone apologize or seem to care. Including the owner. And hey, I get 16 pizzas is a lot for one order for them- but if you can't accommodate, don't accept large orders like that if it negatively impacts your business and all of your other customers. One last thing, when I called in my order for the pizza, I asked if there were any kid options, he just snidely said "we're a bar". Got it, not family friendly; noted. So, after being a patron there for years, tonight was my last visit.

Honestly some of the worst service I have ever had, pizza was decent and nice to have deep dish. It wasn't even busy and I waited over an hour to get food. Person at the register was struggling and it was difficult to not get frustrated at how inefficient everything was.

Great pizza and beer but need more employees to help customers

I've seen kids there before. And there's a couple arcade games so I guess so.
I actually own the place. It takes 3-5 minutes to make a Chicago style, and maybe 35 minutes to cook it. It's not unusual to get 10 orders within 15 minutes of opening, so for the next hour or so, with only moderate volume, the wait times can easily exceed an hour. We are deep into a major renovation, which when complete should lower the wait times significantly. Even so, at the best of times, I don't think we'll ever be able to produce a Chicago in less than 45 minutes.
It's loaded, thick, and good!
Friday 5PM-1:30AM Saturday 5PM-1:30AM Sunday 5PM–12AM Monday (Labor Day) 5PM-1:30AM Hours might differ Tuesday 5PM-1:30AM Wednesday 5PM-1:30AM Thursday 5PM–1:30AM
I am also a customer. Call them David, I'm sure they will.
11, but you can't order the deep dish after 10 (it takes a long time to cook).
Good selection of beers. The bartenders can be a little inconsistent with the hard stuff.
Yes there is!
Yes.
Sorry, but no. It's something I'd like to experiment with in the coming years.
