Now I finally get all the negative reviews. Google needs to allow for us to give 0 star ratings. I don't know what scheme they are running but to not notify someone that their electric is about to be disconnected & then to slap a bunch of late fees and a reconnect fee, more than doubling what their bill normally is, is cruel! Especially when I set up all my bills every month like clock work & they are the ones that didn't pull the money from our account. We're thinking everything's fine, because like I said there was no indication that the bill wasn't paid. Until we wake up to find the lights were off, thought it was just a power outage only to call and find out for the first time in our lives that our electric has been disconnected, because they failed to pull the money from our account and failed to notify us prior to disconnection. MPD count y'all days!

This used to be a great power company. Since they've switched they're awful. If you power gets cut off you have a $10.00 reconnect charge and another $30.00 charge (if this happens twice in 30 days). Their used to be no late charge on prepaid. Just another way for them to get extra money. If you have the option to switch power companies, I'd highly recommend doing so.

One of the most petty and expensive electric companies I've ever had to deal with. Will bill you and if your late and having a financial moment till Fri forget it. You will be sitting I the dark. Then once you pay it you have to pat another $50 for a late fee and then as soon as you catch that up they bill you another $400 sec. Deposit due In 7 days or they cut you off again. They are doing this to seniors on disability every month or so. Only way to do business with these people is pre paid and even then watch for bogus shady billing

Absoluty horrible company with incredibly incompetent staff. I have a prepaid account and often dont receive my balance notifications and will have my electricity turned off for owing less than the minimum payment of $5, some times for as little as $.47, even when the outside temperature is over 95. Originally I would have to owe over $20 to have my service disconnected but since I started calling to complain about not being notified they began turning it off "at their discretion".

If your on prepaid it really depends on how much you use. Back when I had ore paid I flipped all the breakers in my house to off except the one that went to the fridge. Most I would pay for prepaid was around 50-55 a month.
The winter peak is from 6 AM to 8 AM in the winter months, December - end of February. The only savings associated with our peaks are if you participate in our water heater load control program and our new Ecobee thermostat program. There is not any lower rate during peaks.
You should contact Pee Dee electric directly.
Call them or go to the office and they can put you on a monthly plan unless you prefer prepay. Call them and set up an appointment for your light they will come out service it and turn it on.
The only times they do not disconnect is on weekends and holidays in other words if you haven't spoken with them about your bill and made arrangements and if they are open then they will disconnect.
If it's prepaid lights, they turn them off the same day at 11:30 if you're in the negative or at 0.
I think it depends on last year's usage.
