Open bay multi table very loud restaurant. There was 4 in our party and the business was packed. I ordered a choice of 3, flounder, medium shrimp and ocean scallops. It came with hushpuppys and two sides. The food was delicious. The best shrimp I have ever had. The portions were large enough for two. Even my 6 year old granddaughters hamburger was huge.

Great food and great service definitely worth the money and the desserts are really good too.
There is one between Hartsville and Darlington, about halfway between the two cities.

Depends on what one calls close, the nearest truck stop is on Hwy 52 on the Darlington side of I95 Darlington exit. To get to Mayflower from Truck stop, Get off I95, Darlington exit, pass Truck stop on right; continue toward Darlington, take left at major intersection which continues Hwy 52 to Hwy 151, take left toward Hartsville, and Mayflower is on left halfway towards Hartsville. Total drive 9.7 miles or 13 minutes. Naturally, reverse instructions from Mayflower to get to Truck stop (TSA) just before I95.
