This is a wonderful little gem I happened to stumble upon while I was working a door dashing shift. Phoenicia's is a small, modest-looking deli located in Ballwin on Manchester Rd right before the city border to Ellisville. The owner and cook were delightfully kind and cheerful to me and I immediately felt the comforts of home inside their little family-owned eatery. The ambiance inside is reminiscent of a big and amenable mediterranean styled kitchen where the whole family and their intimate friends often gather to cook, indulge in familiar favorite recipes that have been passed down for generations & tell stories of grandma and grandpa's heart-warming love story about how their serendipitous meeting years ago. And the food is DELICIOUS. It is cooked fresh at the time you order with delicate attention and genuine love of the art. My personal favorites so far are the mini spinach pies, which are perfectly sized for a side to lunch or dinner or a snack as well, and one of the delectable flavors of freshly home made Baklava that fill the front display window of the deli. The spinach pies are irresistible and I was super impressed the first time and all the times after! The bread is a special recipe and home made and the little bread pies are topped with a healthy heap of melted fresh mozzarella cheese and lightly dappled with fresh spinach on top, Along with their house blend of special herbs & spices. Phoenicia's is well worth your time to visit and explore their ample menu of unique and so very tasty Mediterranean cuisine!

Delicious place! Staff was super friendly and helpful when I had trouble deciding what I wanted. The prices are reasonable too. I got the kofta plate and baba ghanouj. Will be back again!

You gotta try this place! For a small food stop, the food came out amazing. The shawarma chicken was perfectly seasoned and all the veggies were fresh. The humus and grape leaf wraps were delicious. The gentleman at the counter was very warm and kind. Definitely more than meets the eye with Phoenicia!
