My partner has a degenerative eye disease where she'll eventually go blind without treatment. The doctor told us it'd be a simple procedure taking less than a couple hours per eye. Their quote for this operation? Fourteen thousand dollars... Per eye! This is the worst form of coercion and I don't know how they sleep at night. Absolutely disgusting. The worst part is that won't even repair the damage, that's a completely separate operation...
