My daughter had a wonderful experience at Kidstuff Counseling. She saw Kristil Cloud for almost a year, and Kristil had such a positive impact. I feel like my daughter now has the tools to help her face future situations that evoke anxiety and stress. Kristil taught my daughter how to talk about what she is feeling rather than have that come out in certain behaviors. I noticed a change rather quickly and was also given many tools to use throughout our time and at discharge to continue the progress. As a family we recommend Kidstuff and Kristil.

Went in today for my child's second appointment with a new therapist. The therapist asked for feed back and said it was a safe environment to do so especially since she was still training that she needed feed back to get better at her job. My daughter was in tears at this point because the therapist wasn't giving my daughter a chance to talk and when she did give my daughter a chance she would really discount and brush off what was said. The therapist said earlier that both my daughter and I were both obviously experiencing anxiety over being there and repeatedly cut me off from talking. So she asked for my child's feed back, but she was too upset to say anything. The therapist asked me if I had any feed back. I calmly told her that it would be helpful if she didn't identify how other people were feeling with out asking them first and it would be helpful if she wouldn't cut people off from talking. She immediately said it wasn't going to work for us to see her. She caused huge detrement to my child who came to her for help She should not ask for feed back and say it was a safe place to do so if in fact it wasn't. That makes her a liar and a hypocrite. She will hurt your child more than do good. Don't go here because she kicked us out with no referral because she didn't like the feed back she asked for. Thats a special kind of messed up especially when you are working with kids She should not be in this job due to her inability to handle her own emotions. Broken people should not be teaching kids coping skills, because she has none. And she can't expect to do her job as a professional by getting emotionally involved and unable to handle the emotions of others. Thats literally her job. Her name is kristyial like Crystal but spelled different. For your child's mental health avoid this place at all costs.

I actually had the same experience as another poster: I was told this office will only accept Medicaid patients even though the website says this office accepts other forms of insurance. When I spoke with someone on the phone I was not told about the care membership program. I was told about the waitlist but I wasn’t even offered the option to be put on the waitlist. The person on the phone was unwilling to give recommendations for another office that may be able to take new patients with private insurance. I mean the whole thing was joke. As a parent, it’s very disheartening when you are at a complete loss and seeking help for your child and you are met with stubbornness. Our whole healthcare system (including mental health) is absolute garbage and unfortunately KidStuff just added to toxicity of the system. At this point I don’t even want to be added to the waitlist or offered the care membership; I just want other parents who are seeking help to know if you do not fall into the Medicaid category than you are not worthy of being seen by this office or at the very least, you are not worthy of being referred to another office that could help. Just don’t waste your time!

Despite what the website says, this office will only see patients with Medicaid. MISLEADING AND EXTREMELY UNHELPFUL if you’re a family with private insurance needing help! 😡
