We had a wonderful time with Melissa and her horses. We had kids with us, and Melissa was thorough and patient with them. The horse are clearly well-cared for and happy. Would definitely visit again.

So wonderful!! We had a spectacular time on our ride with Melissa. Three friends meeting in Taos from out of town, feeling cowgirl butch in soft desert light. The ride is slow and steady, even up and down steep canyons, so don't worry if you're a novice. Melissa is a tough gal, but her soft heart and immense love for her rescue horses (and the local geology!) is obvious. The landscape is stunning and don't worry too much about documenting your time, Melissa was kind enough to stop and take photos of us as we went. 10/10, wish we could've stayed and ridden all day.

Didn't ride any horses while we visited because it was out of season. The owner was still very friendly and showed us her horses. Very energetic woman, who seems to really love what she does.

The highlight of our vacation! Melissa is a fantastic person and guide! My girlfriend fell in love with horseback riding in Taos over a decade ago, and Melissa made her return to the area an incredible experience. We couldn't have been happier with the entire experience, from the ride, to the gemological and geographical details, to the photo opportunities and sweet horses. We can't recommend this stable highly enough!
