I used to volunteer here as a child. I would say that I love the experience, people, and animals. Great for adults and children!!

Our son received nothing therapeutic or healing at this riding center. As his mother, I received only a lasting feeling of nausea and regret whenever I think about the red flags I ignored as his lessons progressed. After dealing with pediatric OT and therapy over Zoom through the pandemic I wanted so much for something like this to work for him, he sounded like the perfect candidate based on their website. I wish I had recognized the toxicity sooner and stopped it. I do not want to publish personal details about my son online, however, since I can't go back in time and warn myself, I would like to warn other parents in my place. If you have a child with behavioral or developmental difficulties and are considering taking them to Healing Winds Therapeutic Riding Center, please don't. If you are a parent considering this riding center and would like to know more about our specific experience as you make decisions for your family please message me directly. To the owners of this business, please do not contact me at all.
