I cannot say enough wonderful things about this community. It’s well kept and in such a great central location, but ultimately, it boils down to the people. The office staff is incredible, so friendly and quick to help and the maintenance team too! Thank you to Kiki and Jeff and the whole team (Ben, Sabrina and the maintenance staff) for making Larkspur what it is! You all are amazing.

I NEVER WRITE BAD REVIEWS. I never write reviews period. But my experience at this apartment complex has been the most frustrating and stressful time of my life. I hope this review will lead people away from leasing from this place and avoid having the same experience I am having. This is the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Building 2920 has had issues with mice since 2020. When i asked pest control if I was the only apartment with mice they said the whole building (2920) has issues with reoccurring mice...but they are still happily renting out to these poor new renters who have no clue. I have probably caught 20 mice since I have lived here. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. They do the absolute bare minimum to fix the issue. They call pest control, they give you a few traps, maybe look outside, but still issue never gets fixed. Whatever they are doing isn't working. Mind you I asked to change apartments because this is uninhabitable and to change apartments they want me to put a new deposit down on top of charging me whatever the new rate is. INSANE FOR A ISSUE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIXED 2 ALMOST 3 YEARS AGO. Earlier this year I was cleaning dishes in the sink and a mouse ran out from the sink and crawled across my arm.. terrifying. Just yesterday caught another mouse behind our stove which by the way was COVERED in mice feces. I am so sick of this place and their lackluster attitude into fixing these very serious issues.

Positives: Food trucks, community activities, well-kept pool and buildings, Friendly staff, spacious units, convenient location. Negatives: I chose Larkspur because they are supposedly a gated community. Well, the gate's been broken for months now. Rent is quite high considering the gate issue. Mailboxes were broken for weeks right when we moved in and so we couldn't receive our mail, which created a nightmare for us when we were closing on our property. It would have been helpful if staff told us this before we signed the lease? Homeless people freely visit our property scrounging for things they can find and take for their own because the front gate is often open as well as the side pedestrian gates that are broken too. There are no security cameras throughout the property and no security guards....ever. Maintenance likes to make appointments they don't keep. So expect them to flake a few times before they actually show up when they say they will show up. The gym could use a face-lift. Trash bins in mailboxes are rarely emptied. Dog poop bags are often not refilled. Don't park your car on Weald Way unless you want it broken into.
