I lived here for almost 2 years. The first 6 months were fantastic! No bugs, quiet neighbors, parking was not a problem, the pool was great, maintenance was responsive and the staff was friendly. Literally at the 6 month mark after signing a 12 month lease, domestic violence situations were occurring in the 2 bedroom behind my 1 bedroom unit. The violence would occur in both the apartment and the street and would echo so loud since the complex is in a really quiet spot. The situation was not only disturbing because it was loud, but because people including children were being hurt. After 6 months these particular people were evicted and replaced with more noisy neighbors, not only in that apartment but in most of the 2 bedrooms on that side. The 1 bedroom units master bedroom is backed up to those units, so there was no chance of getting a decent night of sleep. This is when things started getting really bad. An aggressive roach infestation broke out, some neighbors found termites in their cabinets, people started parking in the fire zones and blocking exits and entrances without being towed, fights were breaking out over the assigned parking spaces for the 2 bedrooms, there was a lady who used to sit outside and make sounds that were like she was coughing up a lung and spitting it out at all hours of the day and night on a daily basis, the water was constantly turning brown because of pipes bursting, the amount of domestic violence situations increased in the 2 bedroom units, flood lights were installed around the complex without amber caps so it was like having a spotlight pointed directly into the bedroom, the walls are so thin that you could hear a whole conversation from your next-door neighbors even though they were speaking at a normal volume, and the overall comfort and safety felt in the first 6 months was completely gone. The 2 stars I gave are for that initial 6 month time period and because Shelby was an amazing manager when she was there, and Bob was an amazing maintenance guy. Both worked extremely hard, were friendly, and would even show up in the middle of the night for any after hours calls be it maintenance or other complaints. I'm not sure what happened, but the place went down hill fast. Not only that, but other reviews about the move out and pretty much whole deposits being taken are accurate. My place was cleaner than when I moved in when I moved out and yet I got less than a third of my deposit back. The only thing I didn't clean out was the oven, which had normal usage and could have been easily cleaned with some barkeepers friend. I still have pics of how clean it was and will likely post them along with the charges from the cleaning company that I was mailed, which by the way are no where in the lease. I'm okay with using the deposit for move out cleans as long as it is justifiable, which it wasn't in this case. The only mandatory charge is the carpet cleaning, which is in the lease, but marking my place as requiring a medium deep clean was ridiculous as the pics show and also no where in the lease. The costs of a light, medium, and heavy clean should also be present in the lease to know what you're going to pay. Again, I would have been fine with it had I known up front. Overall, It may be cheap and you might have a decent couple of months here, but I would recommend looking elsewhere and saving yourself the headache.
