As a graduated student and now a lisenced stylist I just want to say Thanks to my educators Miss D and Miss B for refreshing and reinforce my beauty knowledges and skills, for trusting in me and allow me to be creative with color (usually schools doesnt allow that), cause it helped me to learn based in my own experiences!!!! I cant forget about Mr. Jessie; thank you so much for all your help, cause you were always there when I needed you. You are an example of someone who is fair, dedicated and determinanted with your job, you were always there making sure everybody was getting treated equal, making sure everybody was following the school rules without exceptions and thats what make us a better person, a great stylist, I hope someday students realize and appreciate that!!!

Rosie was doing balayages, conditioning and a blow dry for me. She did such a fantastic job! She was very kind and gentle, and carefully considered all my wishes in the process. The result was even better than I imagined. I was sad to hear she is graduating soon, because I would most certainly come to her again!!!

Hi Anna: Thank you for contacting the John Amico School of Hair Design. We are happy to serve you. In response to your question, our haircuts start at $7.00.....if you want dry, no styling, they can dry it under the dryer. If our students do the blowdry, depending hair length, could be about $8 for short, $12 medium, and $17 for longer hair. Should you have any questions, feel free to contact our salon student clinic at 847-965-8061 and we will be happy to answer any additional questions you may have. Thanks again for reaching out to the John Amico School of Hair Design. :-)
Hi thank you for your inquiry! We will be open except on the actual holiday day, so Christmas Day and New Years Day we will be closed. We are already closed mondays and Tuesday’s regularly.
Highlights are about $45 and up, but we would have to do a consultation and look at the hair to give you a more precise cost. :-). You can contact us when our clinic floor is open at 847-965-8061 Wednesday thru Friday 9am to 9pm and Saturday’s 8am to 4:30pm :-)
Hi Nilki, I’m the school director. Unfortunately our re-opening will be a step by step process. We will be bringing back students mid-June, catch them up with their education first, train them on new safety and sanitation protocols, and most likely reopen to public 4th or 5th week of June. Students need to feel safe and be trained on dealing with the public as we have to adhere to Social distancing measures. All customers will now be by appt only and only a certain number of customers others will have to wait in car for their appt and plus new measures for customer screening will have to be done for customers, students and staff—so all will take awhile to do. We will post on our Facebook site when our potential re-opening to customers will be.
Last I saw $5 for a wash, $7 for a cut, and $12 for a blow dry that's about $22 total. A bit on the higher side of having a student work on your hair. I think they forgot this is so students could have clients and customers make a sacrifice of their time inexchange for cheaper priced better service.Lately, the service is not always a win. They are a school not a lower end salon. Their prices are inflated for the sacrifice.
