This is an awesome resource for families or individuals in need of some decent food that is edible and honestly pretty surprisingly good or being FREE. They will accommodate you based off your circumstances so that you get items that will work for you if you do not have refrigeration or cooking supplies. Everything from fruits and vegetables to meat and dessert, they will get you taken care of. The staff is very welcoming and make the experience that much better. Thank you! If you've never been to a place like this like me, this is so easy and comfortable I regret not having visited before. Thanks again, God bless!!

This place is a very hospitable and friendly workers and or volunteers! They keep food on people's tables as God blesses this place! If you are hungry go get some food! They are located on Fort Worth Drive behind the now closed Smokehouse BBQ. They have good food. ✔️ Them out!

You can go everyday to get food. Everyone is nice and never makes you feel bad if you have to go more than once a week. Has really help our family out when we needed it since we don't get food stamps. Thanks for everything.

This is a Christian-based food pantry (I don't know what church or business they are affiliated with, if any). The location is very modest and nondescript, located toward the back of the parking lot off of 377 on the east side. Simply walk in and fill out a ticket stating how many people are in your household and if any of them are children. Walk up to the food area and hand it to a volunteer and they will give you a bag or box with enough food for three meals (one day) and usually a desert or something extra, but that depends on availability each day. I've volunteered here several times, and the type of food varies a lot, depending on what people and/or businesses donated that day. The one that is pretty consistent is Pizza Hut - they've provide pizzas every time I've been up there (thanks, Pizza Hut!). One thing to note is you don't pick out your items, the box is filled for you based on a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Please let someone know if there is some special dietary need (diabetes, etc) and the staff will do their best to pick appropriate selections. Just remember, supplies are very limited and there are no guarantees. There are some items, usually breads and certain produce, out in the main area that you have can choose from yourself as well. I don't know much about The Shepherd's Hand's background or affiliations, but the employees and other volunteers always pleasant and great to work with. They expect very little and give a lot. This is a rare combination and they deserve a solid five stars for the service they provide.
