We ordered ahead of time because we were passing through St. Louis on 44. Regardless of how big this city is, this was a quick easy stop that was well worth it. Ordering ahead allowed us to avoid the lineup for lunch. It was absolutely perfect and absolutely delicious!

Food is unbelievable. I’ve had their stuff from both the food truck and the restaurant itself, and both times the food was fantastic and high quality. The chicken doner is my favorite, with the pide being a close second. Get the hummus too! It’s fresh and perfectly lemon-y.

Oh my goodness... the food was absolutely delicious and the service was outstanding! I was stationed in Turkey for 2 years and fell in love with the food and people. Moved to Illinois almost 14 years ago and haven't been able to find really food Turkish food. This place is it! Took me back to Turkey!! I will definitely be back. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a true taste of Turkey!

This restaurant is ran RIGHT! With good customer service and nice employees I'd go every day if I could. Had the spicy beef sausages on pita bread with red cabbage and it was delicious, a perfect blend of flavor! Keep up the good work and awesome food Balkan Treat Box!!! 👍😋

Balkan is GREAT with Covid safety! They put your order on a table with your name clearly written on it for easy pickup of online orders. When it's warm, you can just pickup outside, but they moved the table inside for the winter. They're also really accurate with pickup times, so it helps alleviate crossing paths with too many other customers.
The meat is not halal or kosher. There are many delicious vegetarian/vegan options available though.
They have opened the restaurant in Webster Groves. Truck is not going out right now. Original plan was to get it going out, once things settled some (haven't, yet!). Not sure if that has changed.

If you come to the restaurant and order in person, YES you can put your food in a take-away container and eat it wherever. Take-away containers are located below the water canteens near the wheelchair entrance.
