One of my best decision on getting my life back together came in homeless and broken but my God sent me here to restore my soul I had nothing I had lost everything but when I left from here I moved into my own home wait I bought my house from homeless to home ownership what a blessing this place was for me and the staff is excellent

I gave one star because you have to give at least one. But I wouldn't recommend this horrifying treatment to anyone. Once you speak to the first person behind the glass you realize you are the bottom of the bottom. Like soon as you open the door, it's given prerequisite to jail vibes. The people working there were absolutely disgustingly low vibration and I would never, ever, ever step foot in this place again. The person behind the glass was the absolute rudest he could possibly be. But that's usually what happens when you give poor, ignorant people a position with power. At least pick volunteers who are rich in spirit, character, dignity, and self respect. But that would start with the top and reflect down and that's obviously not the energy this place gives. 0 stars.

This is an AMAZING organization. They only help those that genuinely want help. But if that's what you're looking for, this is the place to get in to.

Hi TyeZohn. We hope this information helps you to decide if we can be of service. We have 2 options for males in need of assistance. We have a short-term 30 day program. The curfew is 8pm, there are 3 free meals a day, and as long as you come back every night you will keep your place here for those 30 days. We also have a long-term program which typically takes 9-12 months to complete. The first 6-8 months are about dealing with personal issues, resetting your foundation so you can have a stable future. We recommend that clients do not work during this time. You do not need to be a Christian to go through our program, but it is Christian based. The last 3-4 months of the program focuses on helping individuals find jobs and housing. You are welcome to check into our facility between 8am and 4pm, 7 days a week. At times we are at max capacity, so you may want to call ahead. To check availability and for any further questions, please call 216-431-3510, EXT:208.

Please also note that the city mission is a mens shelter, also donations are accepted at the warehouse, the shelter is building C

Very crowded. You will be well fed. If you plan to get into "The Program" you will not be able to work. If just need a month to get back on your feet and find s job the its an ok place. But you would only be able to work day shifts as there is a curfew. May want to visit The Bishop Cosgrove Center to inquire about other options. There are many resources out there you may not know about. Good luck and God Bless!

Hi Susan. Thank you for your interest in donating to the men, women, and children we serve. Are you hoping to fill Comeback Kits? And could you share more information about when you called and what person or department you left a message with?
Hi Patti! Please go to www.thecitymission.org/material-gifts to view our consistent and urgent needs, as well as how to drop items off. Thank you for thinking of us!
I'm not sure. City Mission is a Christian foundation. They do welcome everyone though
Why are you going there? For what reason do you want to attend there? Tell them the truth don't try to bluff them believe me they have heard them all.
Hi Angella - we do accept used clothing, but cannot process used clothing donations directly at Laura’s Home because our facility has no available storage space. You can however, bring used clothing donations to our 5310 Carnegie Ave warehouse where it will be sorted and distributed to women and children as needed. We have a beautiful clothing and you room for our guests at Laura’s Home, which we keep well stocked and available at no cost. If you ever want to take a tour and see these rooms for yourself, you’re more than welcome to. Learn more about drop off hours at Carnegie at www.thecitymission.org/material-gifts.
