My kids and I love it here! And the leaves changing color right now are gorgeous!

This was such a cool experience. It was me and my two daughters, who loved it as much as I did. It was disappointing that none of the food options were open. We had to cut our visit short as we were quite hungry and there was no where to go. The employees were so knowledgeable and helpful. It was great hearing the information about each place from them.

So much Dayton history!

A gigantic museum about the history of Dayton. Lots to see indoors and outdoors. Highly recommended!

The tree is free, the museum has lights on most if the buildings and there is a fee to go inside. I think it is 10.00. The new clock tower is also free to see and you are able to climb the stairs to the observation deck.
It's been only recently that they've started setting aside money for advertising. More billboards and commercials should start appearing soon.
Admission $8 per adult (ages 18-59) $7 per senior (ages 60+) $5 per child (ages 3-17) Free to children under 3 FREE to Dayton History Members

There are two soon to be three spaces at CarillonbPark that can be rented for your wedding reception. One is the transportation center which seats around 130, next is the actual Museum and if you're in multiple rooms than it can hold more than that. They also have a brand new building that should be done in August or September that can hold up to 500. When you have your wedding or your event at Carillon Park you can select from one of three Caterers on their catering list. You order all of your bar items through Dayton history. The Dayton history family also has Memorial Hall Downtown, the Old Courthouse Downtown, Patterson Homestead which is the near UD. All of these venues can also be utilized for parties and wedding receptions. A beautiful place at Carillon Park to actually have the ceremony is on the bridge, which is just outside the Transportation Center. Give Carillon Park a call and ask for Zay or Savannah for more details and pricing.

I asked today to plan another trip there and was told 9/18, 10/8, and 10/22 for the kid's train. Apparently it is an outside company that does it so it is infrequent.

As long as you st stay outside the park (souvenirs, carillon brewing, and what is what they call the pavilion) you do not have to pay. If you plan to leave the pavilion you will pay admission. Anywhere outside the main park there will be admission fees. The fees are what sustains it.
