I love the people at Banfield.

If you have any love for you pet .. RUN ! DON'T COME HERE! Customer service is awful. You never meet OR TALK the actual vet just techs that don't know what they're doing. The "wellness plan" you're not saving anything fyi they nickel and dime you. They make you sedate your animal before coming in because they don't know to "handle" the animal. Go somewhere local and someone who actually loves pets. I put 1 star because it was the only way it would let me post this.

We signed our dog up for one of the "wellness plans" they offer. The first visit that I took him in for, they claim to have done a full exam (which you can't know for sure since you can't go in the back with your dog) and it listed on the paperwork that they checked his ears. Vet gave him the "all clear". I went back a few days later for his dental cleaning and was told he had yeast infections in both ears. He had been messing with his ears off and on for a week or so, so if they had actually looked in his ears as they claimed to in the first visit, they should have spotted the yeast infections. Second issue is the complete lack of communication. Our second visit was sedated teeth cleaning. I was told when I dropped him off that they keep him for three hours after he wakes up to monitor him. Three hours came and went after he was in recovery and no one called us to let us know that he was still really groggy and needed to be monitored longer. We had to keep calling and showing up to get any information. Unacceptable. We were paying for neuter on the "wellness plan", but I made them remove it because I will never be trusting them to put my dog under sedation again. I would cancel the whole plan and go back to my old vet if they didn't make it so difficult to do so after the first 4 days. The cherry on top was that they vet prescribed him a medication, we were charged for it, and they didn't put it in the bag with the other meds he got. So, I still have to go up there and get it. Also, don't sign up for the wellness plan. It covers next to nothing and they will nickel and dime you to death.

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
We believe that preventive care is the most effective way to keep your pet healthy throughout all stages of life. Our pet hospitals offer many preventive care treatments, including: • Vaccinations • Dental Care • Parasite Control • Nutritional Counseling • Behavioral Counseling • Comprehensive Examinations
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).

Until fully treated it is highly contagious.
I would call to make an appointment. Banfield books really quickly, so it's impossible to take walk-ins unless it's an emergency. They will see her just for itching though.
