I highly do not recommend this police station worst by far , its disturbing because they will turn you around no matter what the situation is. This department needs new officers or someone else who can actually make change. It sad because they are here to serve us but don’t even take our situation serious until bad things happen . Do better Lafayette we don’t deserve this at all .

This department needs to be investigated. Anytime I call as a victim somehow I am the center of attention and almost get arrested. Even when I have been physically assaulted and have video evidence I did nothing wrong they ignore it like it doesn’t exist and scream at me or laugh at the Situation and do nothing. I get profiled and never get any help, this is why people don’t trust the police.

Do not EVER call these people to your house. My sister is being threatened and literally harassed. They literally laughed at her. One officer gave her a fake name not to have to file a report . Another officer pretended to file a report and when she called to get the report it was never filed. If you need these people it’s best you and your family handle it yourselves because they only half way work only when blood is shed. They do NOT protect … especially women. Do NOT call these people unless there’s violence on site then they might respond appropriately. We are living witness that they DO NOT prevent conflicts.

Bring the letter in for fingerprints? Take photos of the cars? Police like to see stuff
This is a crime called video voyeurism I think. Find a law student and take them with you to the police station to tell them you're going to sue them for negligence. I wish u the best. Carry a pepper spray in case the guy wants to attack you and film it. Ive been attacked by people who were filming it in my house. They like to watch themselves commit violence. They're very sick. Connect with CARDV. It's a great hotline. Not local but very helpful.
A murderer gets what he or she is sentenced to in the court of law. There are different "years" depending on the circumstances or a certain number of years based on mandatory guidelines of the court jurisdiction. There can also be a plea deal reached before or at trial determining punishment. If the accused is found not guilty by jury or judge (they have an option of trial by judge in some jurisdictions) then that person goes free. Hope this short answer helps. It can get complicated.
