Rudeness must be a requirement for this job. These have to be the most unfriendly and unhelpful group of workers on the planet. In fact the Louisiana DPS and more specifically the OMV should be shut down and restarted from scratch. What a horrible experience and staff!

I had an issue with my drivers license that went unresolved for MONTHS because this bureau would not take the time to resolve it no matter how many times I tried. Instead, they pushed me to call the Baton Rouge number that will NEVER answer. I called, I emailed, and I also mailed with NO success. I set an appointment with the Breaux Bridge OMV, and within 20 minutes, they had my issue taken care of and my license cleared and renewed. If you want people to actually do their job and not treat you like a 3rd class citizen then I suggest you go to a different OMV than this one. I’ll never go here again.

Had wait in line for 45 minutes. Waiting room was full. No one was at the windows being helped. Employees were looking at their phones. I hav3 been trying to get someone on the phone to help with my problem. Call is rejected due to high volumes. DMV needs to get their act together.
It's ridiculous. I call 10 times, it's busy every time. 11th time, it rings and rings with no answer. Hang up and call back, it's busy again... Like WTF?!?

They don't answer, most likely, because they're busy with the guests IN the DMV. Calling right when they're open is your best bet of getting someone to answer the phone. I worked for me.

I've been wandering the same since Monday! I've been calling that one number a few times a day since Monday an the website shows they open, but where I live I don't want to drive way overthere for nothing. I'm suppose to go to the DMV in Carencro an this is the only one I see. If anyone finds out please let me know.
They are open. If you are to only reinstate a license you've to call in. Don't remember the number. But its useless to go there to reinstate a license.

I made my appointment to transfer an out of state license. Although, while I was at the office during my appointment time, I noticed that this particular office allowed walk ins between appointments. I hope that helped!

It's privately owned but legit. Beware, though: you can ask three different people there the same question and get three different answers. At least at the real DMV you can eventually get the right answer.
