We had them come out to do an inspection and they found a quite a bit wrong with our chimney. They were very upfront about what needed to be done and replaced in order to have a working and functioning chimney. They completed all work and repairs quickly. All while keeping our safety 1st. Great service, on time and quick responses. Will use them again and recommend!

We very much appreciated the professionalism and quality of the work done to repair our chimney and to install a new cap. The initial inspection was thorough and educational. We also want to thank the office team, especially Grace, who was helpful, friendly and available throughout the process.

Lots of good reviews on here. Wait 12 months after your $1500 chimney crown sees a winter, is crumbling onto your roof and it looks like this. Environmental Chimney Solutions says this is normal and fine. We agreed to disagree.

Yes! Split firewood 1 year ahead for optimum burn.
While this might seem to be a very simple answer, keeping firewood under a cover of some sort is the best way to store it before using. This can be as simple as placing a tarp over the wood to building a woodshed of some sort. You can also use a part of a barn or garage as well. Just keep it covered.
Hello Sparky, To add to the comment Grace posted earlier. It can possibly be a cold starting flue or it can be from a number of other things. Mortar joint gaps between the flue tile, a blockage of some sort, possibly a change in the home which causes the house to be tighter than it has been in the past causing a negative pressure and pulling the smoke downward. Hard to say until we are able to perform an onsite evauation.
Thank you for your question. While we don’t provide a video, we do provide still shots for your records.
One way is to take a look at the chainsaw cut on the logs. Dry wood cracks in the ends of the log at the chainsaw cut. Another way is to contact us to come do a moisture test to confirm your wood is ready to burn.
