Great walking path and plenty of parking. Great view of the falls.

A mere shadow of what Lewis and Clark laid eyes on—this location provides a solemn reminder of how our need for industry can negatively affect the natural landscape of our once even more beautiful nation. 😢

Great place for a stroll, maybe do some fishing or maybe have a picnic. Also, some great historical markers out there.

In 2001, Tailrace Island was renamed Black Eagle Memorial Island (in honor of those workers who lost their lives while working on or at the dam) and turned over to the River's Edge Trail.
