Typically the Treatment Coordinator will make the necessary records (scan, pictures and x-rays) for the Doctor to establish a plan and to submit to the Medicaid Review Board. The Orthodontist will do a thorough exam and discuss treatment options. The case is then submitted to the review board for determination. Whether a case is approved for Medicaid funding is dependent on severity criteria, so not every patient qualifies. I hope that helps?
