Overall experience was great. This hiking trail is located in Marion NC and is easy to find on Google maps. There are two parking lots located on either end of the start areas and have many spots for cars or scooters in the gravel lot. The trail is mostly covered by trees and shaded except for the start and middle portion of the trail. There usually are not many people walking or running, but you can find a few folks walking their dogs or with their kids. You can bike on the trail as well. They have a few spots for work out stations and a couple of benches and tables to eat or rest your legs. You can also access the water in the middle portion of the trail. I will definitely be coming back to this trail again in the future.

Beautiful area for walking, running, biking, even skating, and fishing. Absolutely love the greenway. An easy 1 3/4 mile (approximately) from one end to the other. There's always a chance you'll get to see some splendid wildlife like deer, cranes, or rabbits, and frogs that serenade your evening walk. It is a nice paved walkway and is well maintained. Very enjoyable!

One of the nicest walking trails around! We took a pleasant afternoon stroll on the greenway and we were amazed at what a great job they had done with it. The pathway was paved and level making it an easy walk. There are trees overhanging the path so it was nice and cool even though it was a warm sunny day. Along the way they had plaques marking some of the indigenous trees to identify them for you. The path went along the bank of the Catawba river, and we came to a viewing platform that let you look into the river. I believe that the greenway is about 3 1/2 miles long. We didn’t have time to walk the entire way and back. But we will definitely visit again!

I'm not quit sure however, (if you were wondering) I noticed that it was marked permanently closed this morning and I knew that was not right so I got it fixed but it still remains temporally closed
