I went here cause my cat wasn’t peeing. They did take him right away and did the ultrasound and saw his bladder was very full. She explained what the options are and what could be wrong. Stuck us in the room and texted us the bill. Over 5,000 to unblock his area to pee ..the smaller bill was over 1,000 for some tests. I told her I was going to take him to a different hospital instead for lower the price. She then proceeded to tell me about a procedure that would drain him out for now for 360 something..(WHY WOULDNT YOU SUGGEST THAT FROM THE START TO RELIEVE HIM) paid that upfront. On top of that ..she never even told me that they take care credit.. if I would of known that they would of got me for the bigger amount. (I went to another location that told me they do and did it 1,000 bucks cheaper). Disappointed.

Highly recommend this hospital if you are just simply in desperate need of help. My fur baby had woke up limping around 6am and I hadn’t decided to take him to the emergency until about 10pm that day. I called before hand, I got there, they checked me in and got straight in to checking him. I was so concerned but they did everything to make sure my fur baby was going to be okay. They explained everything they were going to do before even doing it. They pulled up an estimate of how much everything was going to be, gave me time to think about whether I was going to proceed with everything written. You are able to remove from the bill, the things you do not want done to your pet. The staff is so kind, reassuring and comforting. I left at 2am, turns out my fur baby just had a sprained/sore paw. No broken bones. Giving it 4 stars because the prices broke my heart but I must admit anywhere you go, especially if you don’t have pet insurance. It will be pricey. But I didn’t care about the money at that point, i just needed to know why my dog was limping. If you are going to have to spend the money anyways, come here. Your dog is in good hands. My dog is doing just fine now after the medicine prescribed. Thank you V.E.G 🙏🏽❤️

Unbelievable care for my cat Garbanzo. You'll see a doctor almost immediately with no repetition on filling out forms (which is still very commonplace in other ERs, and delays the time between when you're in and when a vet is available). While not receiving the best news about his diagnosis, Garbanzo was so well taken care of. They gave him a blanket while he was being monitored for a few hours and made sure to give him a quiet place to rest as to not overstimulate him over. The vet, Alexis, in particular was so patient with my questions and made sure to miss no corners with his testing. She also called the ER we were at previously to ask about scheduling another follow-up and got his previous records without me lifting up a finger. Lastly, a special shout out to Dr. Merino who was the radiologist who took his ultrasound and was also incredibly patient and warm. They're also exceptionally honest about what they can and can't do for him, while making sure to cover bases on the next plan of action, even if it's not at this ER. And yes - they also do consulting if you're unsure about coming in for no cost! I am exceptionally honored to have them look after my baby, and highly recommend them as your first (and hopefully last) line of defense.

I've been here a few times, always (by definition) under trying circumstances. The doctors and staff are skilled, attentive, and kind both to my suffering pet and his stressed out owner! The care is outstanding. Luka is doing much better today, thanks very much! At times, they have been so busy (there is a general shortage of vets, especially with all the newly-adopted pandemic pets) that I've had to go to other VEG locations, where the care has also been outstanding, though the locations are less convenient for me.

Hi Omayra, we have seen all kinds of pets, however we are not specialized in exotics. Please go to www.veg.vet for the nearest VEG location to you, some of which are open 24 hours, so that you can speak with a doctor directly and they can let you know what to do next! Good luck, and thank you for contacting us!
