As it stands now we have a level one hurricane headed our way what is the Asheville Police Department doing going around homeless sites and asking them to take down their shelters they are not taking them to places where they can seek Shelter From The Storm they are just being cruel considering I have seen true crime in our city and have tried to report it and even the receptionist at the police department will not even let you report a crime I found the actions of our Police Department to even be completely disgraceful

Was involved in an accident July 31st on I-26. The worst part of the whole situation was that it took law enforcement 6 HOURS TO SHOW ON SCENE. First they said someone was on the way, called an hour and a half later, they said a similar call came in with two vehicles of identical descriptions and they canceled ours when they went to the other one, because they thought it was the same one... whatever. ANOTHER 1 and 1/2 goes by and still no one has showed at this point. We contact the NC Highway Patrol they say they will send someone. ANOTHER hour and 1/2 goes by and the Highway patrol officer finally shows and does the report. He stated that APD failed to forward the call to them at all after saying they were going to, APD never called back to verify that I had been taken care of. Useless department, just like 90% of them. Get better staff

Yesterday A woman hit my car and then proceeded to mitigate what she did to the cop. I was furious and angry because of what she was saying and I Started yelling, I was not physical and I was not attacking anyone. I am 17 and I was not going to have a grown woman lying about a situation which could have caused my boyfriends insurance to go up. There were two other people in my car (myself, and our friend) who clearly stated that the woman hit my car. The damage on my car also showed that she hit it. I would not have been so angry if I didn’t believe I was right. The cop then screamed at me and told me to get into the car, I started to have a panic attack and all he did was scream at me and not calm the situation. The cop did a bad job at handling the situation and I will be filing a complaint later this week. I was treated unfairly and I felt extremely threatened by this cop. If he had arrested me it would not look good for APD for arresting a 17 year old girl simply for yelling when I had the right.
