I fled TN to escape my abuser who would have killed me. I called WRC and was told they would help me and to call an hour before arrival. I did so and was told there was a mistake I couldn't stay. After a heated argument since I was literally on the interstate they said I would have a place for 3 nights. I spoke with a worker yesterday who said they would help me and spoke with Bethany earlier today who advised after the miscommunication they were calling to say they would be helping me and also would help with getting a restraining order etc. Not even 30 minutes later, I was called and said they wouldn't help me and I must leave by 11am tomorrow morning. I have called all shelters in the area and nobody will help. So I am on the streets. This place is ridiculous. Not willing to help women escaping domestic abuse and should be shut down!!!

Gave me a place to stay for five days and didn’t tell me I would have to find somewhere to go until the fourth day. When I told them I will have nowhere else to go but back to my ex they did nothing so here I am back at square one 🙂
