I lived in Rochester in the mid 70's and used to eat at Oceana regularly when it was part of the Meadowbrook Mall. Came back to town recently to visit some friends and we decided to eat here. Wow what a disappointment. First off the restaurant is nowhere near as nice as it used to be when it was part of the mall. Nothing inviting about it at all. You walk into a store front in a strip mall and all you see is a counter a few chairs and boxes all over the floor. Then you're led down a small hall into the adjoining store front where the booths are. Food was average Chinese at best. Not a lot of flavor in anything. It was nothing like I remember it being back in the day. Too many other really good Chinese restaurants within 20 minutes of this place to ever come back. Too bad.

We ordered dim sum the food was pretty good, but they didn't have half of what we wanted to order available. Our server was very nice. Price seemed high to me for what we got. Interior was OK.

I order their Almond Boneless Chicken every week....it's the best around. However, that being said, they fill up my carryout container with 3/4 fried rice and 1/2 chicken. That is being cheap.
