Rainy day means limited seating. We waited a very long time for our food and then after saying we would stay there was no places to sit. We opted for takeout instead and went for a picnic in the nearby park with covered seating. Overall good food. Although our takeout didn't include plastic wear or napkins. It was a very messy picnic.

We were pretty excited to try this place out after seeing it on DDD, and we try out DDD joints everywhere we go. But I was honestly super disappointed by the bland and cold Mac n cheese, sweet tea that wasn’t sweet, and several other pretty tasteless menu items.

Great service and friendly staff. But average food for an above average price. I should rephrase regarding service. My son's 4 pc basket came out in 3 trips over a 20 minute period, 3 pcs and sides followed 10 minutes later by a biscuit and 10 minutes after that the 4th piece of chicken. The Alabama sandwich had, at most, 2oz of chicken. The fries and fried okra were devoid of seasoning, including salt. Not worth $48.50.

Hi Jeremy, Joe Darr here and I own Roost Fried chicken. I am happy to answer your question. We are experiencing high business volumes but are short staffed. We are incapable of taking phone orders and in person counter orders during periods of high demand. We have hired several people in the last few days and once they are trained and comfortable we will take more orders by phone. We want to be the place that serves every customer and every customer is happy with our food and service.

It's a featured item we run on occasion but currently do not have it on the menu but with a little heads-up I can definitely make it happen
