Dames, wow!! Your reputation and recommendations are spot on as I was told by so many people to come here! I am not a huge chicken and waffles eater, so it was awesome to see so many different and delicious options on your menu for my rare self! A family friend and I got on the waitlist and were quickly sat down. Our waiter was nice and had a cool vibe, but seemed distracted at times. I got the shrimp and grits that came with a side. I got their mean greens. My friend got their salmon with a side of squash. Our food came out in about 20 minutes and we dug in. Every bite was better than the first and I had to stop myself several times. I had to remind myself that I could have leftovers--they definitely give you enough to take home. And everything made such a great breakfast the next day! Definitely recommend coming here for an amazing meal!! I love that they are local and Black owned!!

Two of my friends and I went Wednesday after 11am. They only had two workers working front of the restaurant who were wonderful. I think they did a great job seating, taking orders, bartending, and cleaning tables. I was amazed how they didn’t get overwhelmed. Now about the food, I live 1 hr and 30 mins away so have to be good for me to want to drive that far again for it. I ordered three chicken wings with waffle, sassy grits, and a sunset mimosa. The chicken was okay and the waffle wasn’t good. The waffle was cold.I had better chicken and better waffles before. The drink was good and the shrimp grits were good until I got home. When I got home and finally ate the rest of my grits it had plastic in it.

We drove 2.5 hours for Dame's designer chicken and waffles and were not disappointed! Even as a party of 5 we were seated quickly on a Saturday evening. Great food. Great time. Well worth it.

They do and their drinks are great!
Typical CDC requirements. All employees wore masks. Tables were socially distanced.
They do take reservations at the site in Durham and I would recommend it on a Saturday afternoon, especially if the weather is nice.
Yes! Full menu all day
Here are times for all three locations. http://dameschickenwaffles.com/locations/
From its Inception, the dish of chicken and waffles was born in a time and a place, in an arena in which most of our inhibitions, including nutritional and dietary concern, were thrown to the wind. We're talking about a dish whose creation was born from a restaurants proprietor's aspiration to satisfy culinary desires of his patrons, with the creation of a dish that would cater to a dinner, or should I say supper seeking crowd, and a breakfast seeking crowd, at the same time, all on one plate. Thus the yin and the yang, this sweet and the savoury feat was achieved. Caloric intake was not of a major concern from its origin, and still remains largely that way till this day. Post nightclub? In the middle of Harlem? In the 1940s? Heck at that time not smoking was just about considered unhealthy. Chicken and Waffles are an excellent indulgence, just use sparingly... And don't worry about its nutritional information
